Faculty representatives from the 12 institutions with teacher education programs were convened to study various data elements and other information relevant to each certification/test area. They focused on the alignment of the teacher preparation curricula, made determinations about appropriate adjustments to the curricula and standards and recommended qualifying scores. A brief report and recommendations from each study group was forwarded to a Preliminary Core Test Decision Group, which was convened by the Department of Education prior to the Board of Education making a final decision on a qualifying score.
