Regents Approve New Academic Programs and Delivery Options

Dakota State University has secured final approval to begin offering a bachelor’s degree in computer game design this fall. The program is expected to attract at least 20 new students a year to the Madison campus.

Exiting Presidents Receive Honors at Business Meeting

The South Dakota Board of Regents honored retiring President Chuck Ruch of South Dakota School of Mines & Technology and departing President Pat Schloss of Northern State University with board resolutions.

Nichols Named Interim President at Northern State University

Laurie Stenberg Nichols, dean of the College of Family and Consumer Sciences at South Dakota State University, will become interim president of Northern State University.

Gov. Rounds Appoints Student Regent

Gov. Mike Rounds has appointed Melanie J. Satchell of Rapid City to the South Dakota Board of Regents. She will serve as the student regent and will be a formal member of the board.
